design concept
nuku proposes one collection per year, with a story and a specific original colour palette.
With a unique and sensitive approach, Elisa has been keeping a colour diary for years. Each collection is inspired by one of her memory and its colours. Based on hand painted samples, yarns are dyed and textile are woven. The subtle hues and in-between colours of nuku textiles invite to contemplate, and to imagine a landscape feeling.
By offering industrially produced items with unique art pieces together, nuku wishes to propose a balanced whole where objects from different manufactures cohabit.
manufacture
All textile products are made in Japan. Issued from high quality manufactures, nuku fabrics are soft and delicate. We believe in the hands of makers, in their sensibilities. Each fabric is slightly different in texture and shape, having its own unique beauty. Nuku aims to use natural materials with low environmental impacts such as wool.
